The Beacon is a historic event venue in downtown Topeka, housed in the former Topeka Woman’s Club building. Restored to its 1920s eclectic elegance and located just down the block from the Kansas Statehouse, The Beacon spans more than 25,000 square feet across three floors. It offers multiple, character-rich spaces—including a theater for ceremonies, a speakeasy-style Founders Room lounge and a third-floor ballroom with twin balconies and city views.

The Founders Room
The Founders Room is great for happy hours, wine tastings, meetings, reunions and small parties. Ask about our bar options to see what’s on tap.

When it’s not being used as a prep lounge, the Sunflower Room is a great place for a small party or meeting. It’s located on the third floor next to the Ballroom.

When it’s not being used as a prep lounge, the Bluestem Room is great for meetings or small parties. The soft seating makes it a comfortable space for intimate gatherings.

The Theater
Take the stage for your performance, presentation or wedding ceremony. The Theater features intricate plasterwork, nine ornate stained glass windows and a balcony.

The Library
You can be as loud as you want in this library. This space is located on the second floor and can be rented independently or in combination with the Dining Room.
